Iranian foreign minister to visit Moscow - embassy
MOSCOW. Feb 4 (Interfax) - The Iranian Embassy in Moscow has confirmed to Interfax that Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi will visit Moscow next week.
"The Iranian foreign minister will visit Moscow and take part in a meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental commission on February 11-12," an embassy official said.
Iranian Press-TV television earlier reported on Salehi's upcoming visit to Moscow.
The conference participants are expected to discuss issues relating to the expansion of trade partnership, as well as cooperation in the sphere of energy, industry, transport and consular interaction.
Russia will be represented in the conference by Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak.
Russia and Iran are working closely in areas such as security, the fight against terrorism and drug trafficking, and transport.
