VMTP supervisory board might get 3 Summa Group representatives

VLADIVOSTOK. Feb 5 (Interfax) - LLC M-Port has nominated seven candidates for election to the supervisory board of OJSC Commercial Port of Vladivostok (VMTP) (part of the FESCO Transportation Group) at the annual general shareholder meeting, including three representatives of Summa Group who were previously not on the board.

VMTP said in a statement that M-Port, which owns 95.577% of the stevedore's shares, has nominated Yury Gilts, the President of OJSC Far Eastern Shipping Company (the flagship company of the FESCO group); FESCO Vice Presidents Alexei Grom and Sergei Kostyan; General Director of JSC VMTP Vladimir Korchanov (all of the above are on the current supervisory board elected at the annual meeting last May 15); Deputy General Director for Development at OJSC Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP) Radostin Popov; Stanislav Abrenin and Alexei Churakov.

VMTP's shareholders did not nominate any other candidates. The annual general shareholder meeting has not yet been scheduled.

A Summa Group spokesman told Interfax that Abrenin and Churakov represent the group's legal division. Summa Group and OJSC Transneft have equal ownership in Novoport Holding, which owns 50.1% of NCSP's shares.

VMTP is the largest stevedoring company at the port of Vladivostok.

Moscow-based LLC M-Port owns 95.6% of JSC VMTP's shares. Half of M-Port belongs to OJSC FESCO, and the other half belongs to Vladivostok-based CJSC Port-Aktiv.

In December, Summa Group and GHP-Group jointly acquired 56% of FESCO's shares from Sergei Generalov's Industrial Investors.

FESCO Transportation Group is an intermodal operator that combines sea, rail and road transportation, and stevedore services at its own terminals at ports in Russia and other CIS countries.

Summa manages assets in the port logistics, engineering, construction, telecommunications and oil and gas sectors. The group has companies in 40 Russian regions and abroad with over 10,000 employees. Ziyavudin Magomedov is the group's owner and shareholder.
