Gazprom hires KPMG to optimize treasury functions for $5 mln

MOSCOW. Feb 5 (Interfax) - Gazprom has chosen CJSC KPMG to render "consulting services in the framework of a project to optimize its treasury functions" for 150.5 million rubles, the gas giant said in a statement.

The starting (maximum) price for the services was 175 million rubles. LLC Ernst & Young - Appraisal and Consulting Services and CJSC MCD Partner also participated in the tender procedure.

KPMG will draft and implement a project for the Gazprom group's treasury functions: cash management, a forecast of cash flows and liquidity, financial risk management and corporate dealing (the money market, forex). It will also evaluate the efficiency of Gazprom's treasury activity and prepare requirements for IT solutions to automate treasury functions.
