Pyotr Sinyutin elected MOESK chief until 2016
MOSCOW. Feb 6 (Interfax) - The board of directors of OJSC Moscow United Electric Grid Company (MOESK) has elected Pyotr Sinyutin the company's general director until February 2016, MOESK said in a statement.
Sinyutin has been MOESK's acting chief since last July. Prior to that, he was the managing director at Mosenergosbyt .
IDGC Holding's board of directors approved Sinyutin's candidature to the post at the end of January.
Andrei Konovalov, the previous head of MOESK, resigned last July. At that time, Russia's Federal Anti-Monopoly Service (FAS) had already made several complaints against MOESK for systematic legal violations, and it was preparing to disqualify not just the company's general director, but also several managers.
MOESK is a specialized grid organization transmitting electricity for the Moscow and the Moscow region. Its main shareholders are the Inter-District Grid Company Holding (IDGC Holding) (51%), Gazprom (31%) and the City of Moscow (8%). Over 8% of its shares are in free float.
