ENRC's Eurasian Energy Corporation ups coal output 1.3% in 2012
PAVLODAR. Feb 7 (Interfax) - JSC Eurasian Energy Corporation (EEC) boosted coal output 1.3% in 2012 from 2011 to 20.3 million tonnes, said the mayor's office of the city of Aksu in Pavlodar region.
According to an official statement, electricity production was 14.264 billion kW/h, which is up 2.3% from 2011; thermal power production was 1,327 million Gcal (up 2%).
The company plans to spend 9.5 billion tenge (150.52 tenge/$1) this year on production development, maintenance of existing facilities including modernization of generation units, electric filters as well as a water intake facility at the pump station.
EEC is part of ENRC. EEC operates the Vostochny opencast coal mine, Aksu power plant and a repair unit. EEC specializes in the coal and electricity production, power and mining equipment repair.
