Military activity around Korean Peninsula impermissible - Moscow

MOSCOW. Feb 12 (Interfax) - The latest nuclear test in North Korea should not be used as a pretext for mounting military activity around the Korean Peninsula. Russia calls for balanced actions of every concerned party.

"Hopefully, the latest step of Pyongyang will not be used as a pretext for escalation of military activity around the Korean Peninsula. There must be an international legal alternative to the policy of "flexing" the missile and nuclear muscle," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement posted on Tuesday.
