Political council to lead Georgian Dream party, Ivanishvili to become honorary chairman
TBILISI. Feb 14 (Interfax) - A political council will lead the Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia party, founded by Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, the acting party chairperson and Deputy Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Manana Kobakhidze told journalists on Thursday.
Kobakhidze said that the party would not have an official chairman, however, Ivanishvili would have the status of an honorary chairman of the Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia party.
The party is scheduled to have a conference on February 16 to elect members and a political council secretary, she said.
Kobakhidze said that party representatives from 73 Georgian regions were expected to participate in the conference.
