Emergency Situations Ministry does not expect new meteorite showers in Urals
MOSCOW. Feb 15 (Interfax) - The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry does not expect another meteorite shower over the Urals despite some media reports, Vadim Grebennik, the head of the press service for the Urals regional center of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, told Interfax.
"We currently don't expect another meteorite to fall. We have not issued any recommendations to residents to stay home and keep away from windows," Grebennik said.
Some media earlier reported that more meteorite debris may fall in the Urals around 1:00 p.m. and 11:20 p.m. Moscow time on Friday.
