Russian, Swedish top diplomats discuss issues in bilateral relations

MOSCOW. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov has met with Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt and State Secretary Frank Belfrage in Stockholm to discuss a number of issues in bilateral relations between the two countries.

"Russia expressed its concerns about the remaining problematic issues in bilateral relations, particularly the absence of proper protection of diplomatic property from Franz Sedelmayer's claim, the denial of extradition of individuals accused in our country of having committed crimes, and the procrastination in the legal prohibition of the terrorist Internet website Kavkaz-Center in Sweden," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Saturday.

Titov, Bildt, and Belfrage also discussed "relevant aspects of Russian-Swedish relations, with an emphasis placed on maintaining multifaceted political dialogue."

In September 2012, an auction was held in Stockholm on selling the building of the Russian trade mission in Sweden as part of proceedings dealing with German businessman Franz Sedelmayer's lawsuit against Russia. The decision on the sale of the Russian trade mission's building has been postponed.
