Primorye fisheries' official arrested in relation to crab auctions

VLADIVOSTOK. Feb 18 (Interfax) - In Primorye territory charges have been brought against the head of the territorial department of the Federal Fisheries Agency Alexander Ivankov. Under a court judgment he was taken into custody, the territorial division of the Investigative Committee announced on Monday.

Ivankov was charged with abuse of power.

"The criminal case was launched on December 13, 2012 in relation to the abuse of power by officials of the Primorye territorial department of the Federal Fisheries' Agency during an auction for quotas for catching red king crab in the Primorye subzone," a report of the Investigative Committee says.
