Next 5+2 Transdniestria talks planned for May 23-24 in Odessa - OSCE chairperson's representative

LVIV. Feb 19 (Interfax) - The next meeting of the permanent conference on political issues within the framework of the 5+2 negotiations on settling the Transdniestria conflict will take place in Odessa on May 23-24.

"We agreed to hold the next session in Odessa on May 23-24," Andriy Deshchytsya, the OSCE chairperson's special representative for conflicts, said at a press conference in Lviv on Tuesday.

It was reported earlier that the permanent conference held its session in the 5+2 format in Lviv on February 18-19.

The 5+2 talks involve Moldova and Transdniestria as the parties to the conflict, Russia, Ukraine and the OSCE as mediators, and the U.S. and the EU as observers.
