E.ON Russia gets new board of directors

MOSCOW. Feb 21 (Interfax) - The shareholders in OJSC E.ON Russia elected a new board of directors at an extraordinary meeting on February 21, the company said in a press release.

The board of directors includes: member of E.ON's management board Bernhard Reutersberg, Senior Vice President for Strategy and Corporate Development at E.ON SE Guenter Eckhardt Ruemmler, Senior Vice President for Legal and Compliance at E.ON SE Karl-Heinz Feldmann, Head of the Moscow Representative Office of E.ON Ruhrgas Reiner Hartmann, CEO of E.ON Climate and Renewables Mike Winkel, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of OJSC Thermal Power Instrumentation Research Institute Sergei Malinov.

Among the new members of the board of directors are: CEO of E.ON Russia Maxim Shirokov, Rector of the Russian School of Economics Sergei Guriev and board member of E.ON SE Jorgen Kildahl. They replaced the former CEO of E.ON Russia Yury Sablukov, ex-CEO of E.ON Russia Power Sergei Tazin and chairman of the management board of the Institute of Contemporary Development Igor Yurgens.

E.ON Russia comprises five state district power plants with a combined capacity of 10.345 GW.

Germany's E.ON owns 83.7% of the company's shares.
