Mail.ru Group boosts 2012 net profit 37% to 8.5 bln rubles, revenue up 39%
MOSCOW. Feb 26 (Interfax) - Mail.ru Group boosted net profit 37% last year to 8.5 billion rubles, the company said in a statement.
Sales revenue grew 39% to 21.15 billion rubles.
Earnings before taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose 38% to 11.53 billion rubles, and the EBITDA margin was 54.5% in 2012, down from 55.1% in 2011.
Advertising revenue climbed 32.1% to 7.4 billion rubles, including 5 billion rubles in revenue from banner advertising (up 14.9%) and 2.4 billion rubles in revenue from contextual advertising (up 44.3%).
Revenue from online games increased 24.3% to 4.7 billion, and revenue from added-value services soared 78.7% to 6.7 billion rubles.
