Russia bans entry to 16,000 foreigners so far this year

MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Russia has banned entry to 16,000 foreigners so far this year, head of the Federal Migration Service Konstantin Romodanovsky said.

"The ban has already been applied to 16,000 foreigners so far this year," Romodanovsky said at a migration service session on Wednesday.

Romodanovsky said that "around 2 million foreigners" were threatened with ban on entry.

"I demand that all chiefs intensify the work to ban offenders from entering," he said.
