Iran refuses to close Fordo uranium enrichment facility

ALMATY. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Tehran does not intend to halt the operations of the Fordo uranium enrichment facility.

"The Fordo facility fully complies with the IAEA requirements and is under the IAEA supervision. Therefore, there are no reasons for us to close it, and [the P5+1] did not ask us to do this," Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Saeed Jalili said at a news conference in Almaty on Wednesday.
