Ambulance the only safe way to take Tymoshenko to Kyiv court - doctor

KHARKIV, Ukraine. Feb 28 (Interfax) - If the presence of jailed former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko at a planned court session in Kyiv on March 4 is seen as essential, an ambulance is the only kind of vehicle that can take her there safely, one of her German doctors said on Thursday.

Moreover, Tymoshenko should be seated in a relaxed posture during the planned session, which is part of her trial as one of those accused of murdering parliament deputy Yevhen Sherban, Karl Max Einhaeupl of Berlin's Charite clinic told a briefing outside the hospital in Kharkiv where the ex-premier has been taking inpatient treatment since May 2012.

Einhaeupl pointed out that Tymoshenko has back problems.

However, he said, it is she and her lawyers who should decide whether she should go to the session.
