Aeroflot flies 19% more passengers in January
MOSCOW. March 1 (Interfax) - Aeroflot Russian Airlines flew 1.395 million passengers in January, 19.1% more than in the same month last year, Rosaviatsia said in a statement.
Passenger turnover rose 21.8% year-on-year to 4.248 billion passenger-km. Seat occupancy increased 1.4 percentage points to 73.7%.
The overall Aeroflot group increased passenger traffic 19% to 2.075 million, including up 57.6% to 207,100 passengers at Orenburg Airlines and up 1.5% to 81,500 passengers at Vladivostok Avia.
But traffic was down 6.7% to 239,000 passengers at Rossiya Airlines, down 7.2% to 79,500 at Donavia and down 0.3% to 19,100 at Sakhalinskie Aviatrassy.
Aeroflot flew 17.656 million passengers in 2012, 24.6% more than in 2011, and the Aeroflot group flew 27.4 million passengers, 27.4% more.
