Prosecutors issue warning to protest organizer in Moscow
MOSCOW. March 6 (Interfax) - Moscow prosecutors have issued a warning to the organizer of an unauthorized protest in central Moscow scheduled for March 6.
On that day, "a march and a rally are scheduled to take place in central Moscow to protest violations of Russian legislation and human rights," the Russian Prosecutor General's Office has reported.
"The Moscow government has not authorized this public event because the organizers did not inform the executive administration bodies on their acceptance (or non-acceptance) of its offer to change the venue of the protest in a timely manner," the Prosecutor General's Office said in a report posted on its website on Wednesday.
The prosecutors of the Moscow Central Administrative District has issued a warning to the organizer of the protest to prevent violations of the legislation, the document says.
