Suspected accomplices of terrorist detained in Dagestan - source

MAKHACHKALA. March 7 (Interfax) - Four persons suspected of involvement in a February 14 terrorist attack on a police post in Khasavyurt have been detained in the village of Novo-Sasitli, two home-made bombs have been discovered and neutralized, a source in Dagestani law enforcement has told Interfax.

The source said that searches were conducted in the house of the organizer of the attack and his accomplices. "Four suspected accomplices have been detained. A home-made bomb was discovered in the house of Daniel Zargalov and one more in the house of his accomplice. Both were neutralized. One of the bombs could not be taken out of the house and was destroyed by an applied charge damaging the building," the source said.

The terrorist attack in Khasavyurt took place at 5 a.m. on February 14 when a car exploded at a police checkpoint. Four police officers and the suicide bomber died. The following day six militants suspected of involvement in the crime were killed near Khasavyurt and on February 17 three more, including the organizer of the crime Zargalov.
