Norilsk Nickel board re-elected, Chemezov included
MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - The board of directors at MMC Norilsk Nickel was re-elected at an extraordinary meeting of the Arctic mining and smelting giant's shareholders, an Interfax correspondent reports from the meeting, where the votes have now been counted.
The quorum for the meeting was 70.63%.
Sergei Chemezov, head of the state Rostec corporation, was elected to the board. Andrei Varichev, CEO of Metalloinvest Holding Company, was the only one of 14 candidates for 13 seats on the board not to have been elected after withdrawing prior to voting.
