Last person hurt in Chelyabinsk meteorite event remains at hospital
CHELYABINSK. March 11 (Interfax) - The last person hurt in the Chelyabinsk meteorite event remains at the hospital.
"There is one last patient receiving hospital treatment. The woman has a minor injury - a tendon laceration. She is staying at the Chelyabinsk Hospital No. 6," regional health ministry press secretary Olga Sukinova told Interfax on Monday.
A meteorite blasted above the Chelyabinsk region on February 15. The blast wave broke window glass and damaged roofs of apartment blocks, and industrial and social buildings. The damages totaled about 1 billion rubles. Some 1,613 locals asked for medical assistance, and 69 of them were hospitalized. Everyone hurt in the meteorite fall will receive material aid from Chelyabinsk regional authorities.
