Russian airlines carry 15% more passengers in 2M

MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - Russian airlines flew 9.925 million passengers in January-February, 14.9% more than in the same period of last year, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) said.

Passenger turnover grew 18.4% year-on-year to 28.708 billion passenger-km. Seat occupancy rose 1.9 pp to 76.1% and the commercial load factor grew 3.1 pp to 64.4%.

Airlines carried 135,256 tonnes of cargo and mail, 0.6% less than in January-February 2012. Cargo turnover grew 0.4% to 683.2 million tonne-km.
