Azerbaijani 2012 balance of payments surplus expected at 22% of GDP

BAKU. March 12 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Azerbaijan predicts a $15 billion current operations balance of payments surplus for last year, sources at the bank told Interfax.

"The current operations balance of payments surplus will be 22% of GDP in 2012, the highest figured among CIS countries," they said.

Azerbaijan had a current operations balance of payments surplus of $17.146 billion, or 34% of GDP, for 2011.
