Sheremetyevo airport passenger flow up 9% in Jan-Feb

MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - OJSC Sheremetyevo International Airport saw passenger flow increase 9.1% year-on-year to 3.667 million travelers in the first two months of this year, a company statement says.

Passenger flow international increased 8% to 2.326 million and domestically - 12% to 1.341 million.

The most popular international destinations were Paris, Sharm el Sheikh, Prague, New York, Hurghada, Bangkok, and Beijing. Domestically, they were: St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Sochi, Vladivostok, Kaliningrad, and Rostov-on-Don.

The main gains in passenger flow in January-February were provided by Aeroflot - Russian Airlines , Transaero, Donavia, Severny Veter (North Wind), Orenburg Airlines, Nordavia, Air France, and CSA Czech Airlines.

Aeroflot served 1.768 million passengers, which was 9.4% more than it did in January-February of last year.

Sheremetyevo passenger flow in 2012 was 26.188 million fliers.
