IMF review mission to work in Belarus on March 14-25

MINSK. March 14 (Interfax) - A traditional review mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that will operate in Belarus under Article IV of the IMF Agreement until March 25 has arrived in Minsk, the Belarusian office of the IMF told Interfax.

The mission led by David Hoffman will hold consultations with representatives of the Belarusian government and Central Bank on macroeconomic, budget and monetary policy and prospects for developing Belarus' economy.

The mission will also hold the fourth post-program monitoring of the Belarusian economy after the implementation of a stand-by program in January 2009-April 2010 that was supported by a $3.5-billion loan from the IMF.
