Chinese leader to visit Russia on March 22-24 - Kremlin

MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - Chinese leader Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Russia on March 22-24 at President Vladimir Putin's invitation, the Kremlin press service reported on Monday.

"The talks are expected to focus on the key aspects of bilateral cooperation, including economy and trade, energy and investment, technological and industrial cooperation, and interregional and humanitarian interaction," the press service said.

The talks will also deal with the most pressing international and regional problems - the Middle East and North Africa, including the Syrian crisis, the situation surrounding Iran and Afghanistan, the Korean peninsula and Northeast Asia as a whole.

The two leaders will also discuss ways to deepen coordination in the UN and other multilateral formats, including the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), the G20 and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, the Kremlin said.
