Most suspects in Sagra village brawl will not be imprisoned

YEKATERINBURG. March 19 (Interfax) - A court in Russia's Sverdlovsk region has decided not to give prison terms to the majority of people charged with participating in mass disturbances in the local village of Sagra.

Only Kakhaber Chichua and Ivan Lebedev, who were accused of establishing the gang behind the unrest, have received prison sentences, an Interfax correspondent reported from the courtroom.

The disturbances erupted in Sagra in June 2011 following a row between village residents and a married couple over a possible theft. Twenty-three people went on trial after the incident.
