Russians spend around $50 bln a year on mediums, physics, treatment abroad - Moscow chief cardiologist

MOSCOW. March 20 (Interfax) - Russian doctors need to regain their market share from foreign colleagues, mediums and psychics, Moscow chief cardiologist Yury Buziashvili said.

"Around 17 billion dollars is spent on treatment abroad and over 30 billion on psychics, witchcraft and other things," Buziashvili said at a news conference in the head office of Interfax on Wednesday.

"If our expert community can regain at least 10% of this money, Russian medicine will rise," he said.
