Duma to consider Nabiullina nomination for Central Bank chief in April
MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - The Russian State Duma will take up the issue of Elvira Nabiullina's nomination to head the Central Bank of Russia in April, First Deputy Speaker Alexander Zhukov told journalists on Thursday.
"The profile committee and then the full Duma will consider the candidacy in April," he said.
Consultations concerning Nabiullina's candidacy by the individual Duma factions will begin on Friday, March 22. On that day the United Russia faction will examine her candidacy, Zhukov said.
According to the Duma's spring schedule, committee meetings will be held in the first week of April and full Duma sessions will be held throughout the April 8-27 period.
