German official nominated for RusHydro board
MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - RusHydro , Russia's largest hydropower company, has approved a list of candidates for election to its board of directors at an extraordinary general meeting.
The list includes Bernd Pfaffenbach, State Secretary at Germany's Economics and Technology Ministry.
There are 13 candidates for the 13 seats on the board. Eight current directors could be replaced.
The list does not include, as expected, the five directors who "mutinied" against the government over the placement of new shares: Gazprombank senior vice president Vladimir Tatsy, who is currently chairman of the RusHydro board; OJSC Inter RAO UES chief executive Boris Kovalchuk; Grigory Kurtser, an adviser to the vice president of Rosneft ; LLC United Investments deputy CEO Mikhail Shelkov; and VTB senior vice president Sergei Shishin.
In addition, E4 Group president Andrei Malyshev, Russing Holdings Pte. Ltd director Yevgeny Tugolukov and LLC KFK Consult deputy CEO Rashid Sharipov could lose their seats.
They could be replaced by Russia's director on the board of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Denis Morozov; Evrofinance Mosnarbank president and CEO Vladimir Stolyarenko; Novikombank president and board director Ilya Gubin; ENIN chief executive Eduard Volkov; Viktor Kudryavy, adviser to the president of Eurocement Group; Sviaz Bank president and CEO Denis Nozdrachev; Altera Capital chief executive Vyacheslav Pivovarev; and Bernd Pfaffenbach.
