Activists of The Other Russia hold unsanctioned rally near Central Bank in Moscow
MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - The Russian Internal Affairs Ministry said that a group of young people held an unsanctioned rally near the head office of the Central Bank on Neglinnaya Street in Moscow.
"Around ten people unfolded a poster saying "Return money to Russia" near the Central Bank office on Neglinnaya Street in Moscow," the press office of the Moscow department of the of Internal Affairs Ministry told Interfax.
The Other Russia activist, Alexander Averin, has posted on his blog that the activists "had found a way to get into the Central Bank, blocked the entrance with chains and handcuffs and demanded to stop outflow of capital."
In particular, The Other Russia activists were outraged that considerable funds "were hidden" on offshore accounts in Cyprus.
Averin said that activists had also scattered leaflets criticizing the recently held privatization.
