Amount of Chinese tourists visiting Moscow soared almost 50% in 2012

MOSCOW. March 22 (Interfax) - The amount of Chinese tourists visiting Moscow grew 47% in 2012, the Moscow tourism and hospitality committee said in a statement.

"China with the annual rate of 268,000 guests is now second out of five leading countries outside the CIS in terms of tourists coming to Moscow," the statement said.

Russia will hold a road show in China in 2013 in an attempt to promote Moscow as a tourist destination and to increase tourist traffic to the Russian capital.
