Russian observers to fly over Slovenia, Croatia
MOSCOW. March 25. (Interfax-AVN) - Russian observers will fly over the territory of Slovenia and Croatia as part of the Open Skies Treaty, the Russian Defense Ministry's press service told Interfax-AVN.
"The flights will be made from the Slovenian airport of Ljubljana and from the Croatian airport of Zagreb.
The maximum range of the flights in line with earlier agreed routes will be 500 kilometers over Slovenia and 1,300 kilometers over Croatia," the press service said in a statement.
The flights will be carried out on March 25-30 aboard an Antonov An-30B aircraft. "Russian specialists together with their colleagues will monitor the order to using observation systems and the compliance with current agreements," it said.
This will be Russia's sixth and seventh observation flights over the territories of Open Skies Treaties signatories in 2013.
