Almost 400 companies from 50 countries to display products at Nizhny Tagil arms show - Iralvagonzavod

NIZHNY TAGIL. March 25 (Interfax-AVN) - The 9th international arms show, Russia Arms EXPO 2013 (RAE 2013), to be held in Nizhniy Tagil on September 25 to 28, will be a major event of its kind, battle tank manufacturer Uralvagonzavod has reported.

"Four hundred participants from 50 countries will show their unique products," it said in a statement received by Interfax-AVN on Monday.

The exhibition will unfold at the Nizhny Tagil state arms exhibition center of the Nizhny Tagil Metal Testing Institute (FPK NTIIM).

"The RAE 2013 exhibit will give visitors an exhaustive picture of Russian and world defense companies' priorities, achievements and potential," the statement says.

"Its goal is to promote Russian weapon systems, armaments and ammunition on the domestic and foreign markets, to widen the circle of foreign partners, to demonstrate the latest achievements of Russian and foreign arms producers, and to intensify business contacts between manufacturers and buyers of military hardware throughout the world," it says.

Russia Arms EXPO 2013 is being held under the Russian government's patronage. Its organizers are the Industry and Trade Ministry and the Sverdlovsk regional government. The general manager of the arms show is Uralvagonzavod.
