Ukraine will not raise gas price for population - PM

KYIV. March 28 (Interfax) - Ukraine will not raise the natural gas price for its population, which is part of the terms for a new loan from the International Monetary Fund, said Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.

"We need to cooperate with the International Monetary Fund. However, we have no urgent need to accept whatever terms are set to us. We have a sufficiently stable financial and economic situation. We pay under all our financial commitments, and we are optimistic about our negotiations with the IMF," a statement from the Ukrainian government quoted Azarov as saying in an interview with Hungary's M1 television.
