NPF will not become party, take part in elections - head of organizing committee
ROSTOV-ON-DON. March 29 (Interfax) - The National Popular Front (NPF) does intend to turn into a party or run in elections, head of the NPF conference organizing committee, Andrei Bocharov, has said.
"We did not plan and are not planning to set up a political party," he said to reporters on Friday at the first NPF conference in Rostov-on-Don.
"The National Popular Front will not take part in the election campaign," he said.
He added that any political parties finding it necessary can join NPF's operations.
"We are ready for constructive dialogue with all political parties that exist in this country," he said.
He said NPF is ready for such cooperation, for instance, with the A Just Russia party.
As for United Russia, it is a partner of NPF, Bocharov said.
