Rosneft's Khudainatov appointed to head Itera

MOSCOW. April 1 (Interfax) - Rosneft First Vice President Eduard Khudainatov has been named head of Itera , in which Rosneft owns a 51% stake, Itera said in a press release

Khudainatov will replace Vladimir Makeev, who stepped down from the top job effective April 1.

Makeev will remain a member of the board of directors and first vice president at Itera Group LLC.

The Itera board of directors approved the new makeup of the management board. Sergei Vorobyev, formerly Itera's CFO, has been named first deputy general director. Itera's new CFO is Sergei Lobachev, who previously served as commercial department director at TNK-BP, which was recently acquired by Rosneft.

Gennady Skidanov will remain Itera's commercial director.

Itera chief engineer Boris Urasinov has been named head of subsurface management, geology, oil and gas field development and operation. Finally, Rosneft's Valeria Bredikhina has been named chief accountant.

As a result, representatives of Rosneft now hold half of the seats on Itera's management board.

Two more appointments to the management board are pending, a source familiar with the situation told Interfax. A Rosneft representative will most likely be named legal affairs director and the manager for production issues will most likely be an Itera representative, retaining the 50-50 split on the board, the source said.

Itera's current head of legal affairs, Vladislav Ilchuk, and chief accountant Tatyana Korotkova, have retained the corresponding positions at Itera Group LLC.

Itera Group President Igor Makarov has been elected chairman of Itera's board of directors, as was expected when Rosneft and Itera Group approved formation of the Itera joint venture last summer. Khudainatov was elected deputy chairman of the board.

Rosneft acquired a 51% stake in the Itera joint venture last summer for assets and cash.
