Grymov appointed Dozhd TV general producer

MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - Prominent film director, producer and playwright Yury Grymov has been appointed general producer of the Dozhd television channel.

"Grymov will assume duties on April 10 and he will be responsible for planning programs and for the film policy, for the company's image and style, and for the restructuring of the television channel's news studio, the TV company said in a press release sent to Interfax on Tuesday.

Grymov said following the appointment that he will continue devising new formats.

"An unprecedented new format is being devised. We respect heavyweights, but none of them is incontestable. New personalities will appear bringing along their original programs," Grymov said, according to the press release.
