Rosneft to buy refueling businesses at five Russian airports from BasEl
MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - Rosneft has agreed on the basic terms to acquiring aviation refueling businesses from Basic Element (BasEl) at the Krasnodar, Sochi, Anapa, Gelendzhik and Abakan airports operated by Basel Aero Supply and Handling (BASH), the Russian state-owned company said in a press release.
The agreement was signed by Igor Sechin, Rosneft President and Chairman of the Management Board, and Oleg Deripaska, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BasEl.
"The completion of the transaction will result in Rosneft having its own refueling complexes almost in all Russian federal districts. Expansion of the refueling complexes network will ensure the growth of fuel sales through 'into-plane' refueling under direct contracts with airlines on the domestic Russian market," Sechin is quoted as saying in the press release.
