Russia imports 35% more medicines in January-February
MOSCOW. April 5 (Interfax) - Russia imported medicines worth $1.79 billion in January-February 2013, 34.7% more than in the same period last year, the Federal Customs Service (FCS) said in materials.
Imports from the outside the CIS rose 35.6% to $1.77 billion, while imports from the CIS declined 28.5% to $0.12 billion.
Imports of antibiotics increased 60% to $18.8 million in the two months, including $18.4 million from outside the CIS (70% more) and $0.4 million from the CIS, 33% less.
