Putin hopes to concentrate on law, literature after end of political career
MOSCOW. April 5 (Interfax) - President Vladimir Putin hopes to concentrate on his favorite pursuits "not connected with state responsibilities" after the end of his political career.
"I do hope that after the end of my political career as a statesman, I will have an opportunity to concentrate on other pursuits. I am so much interested in law and in literature. And I do hope I will have an opportunity to concentrate on this, or perhaps some others things, public or sports activities, that would not be connected with state responsibilities," he said in an interview with the German television and radio company ARD.
"Any normal person looks beyond some horizon," Putin said.
"I am far from being a veteran in politics. There are people in European politics who have had longer careers as top officials and who have worked longer than I have - in Europe, in North America and in Canada," Putin said.
