Ryabkov: this week's talks between Iran, P5+1 "forward step"

ALMATY, Kazakhstan. April 6 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has described negotiations on Friday and Saturday between Iran and the P5+1 as a "forward step" and expressed hope that "the date and venue of the next full-format round [of talks]" will be set very soon.

Ryabkov was speaking to reporters in Almaty after the negotiations.

On Friday, Kazakh Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhanbolat Usenov told reporters that, if Iran and the P5+1 preferred Almaty as the venue for the next round of talks, the Kazakh government would "undoubtedly give consideration to such a proposal."
