Kazakhstan revises 2013-2015 oil production forecast down
ALMATY. April 10 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - Kazakhstan has lowered its oil and gas condensate production target for 2013-2015.
The Oil and Gas Ministry's strategic plan for 2011-2015 with the revised projections was published in the official press on Wednesday.
Oil and gas condensate production is expected to reach 82 million tonnes (compared with the previous forecast of 83 million tonnes) in 2013; 83 million tonnes (85 million tonnes) in 2014 and 90 million tonnes (95 million tonnes) in 2015.
According to the Oil and Gas Ministry, the domestic refineries are expected to process 14.4 million tonnes of oil in 2013 (compared with the previous target of 14.2 million tonnes); 14.65 million tonnes (15.1 million tonnes) in 2014 and 15.05 million tonnes (17.5 million tonnes) in 2015.
Kazakhstan produced 66.46 million tonnes of crude oil in 2012, 1.9% less than in 2011, and 12.749 million tonnes of gas condensate, up 3.7%.
