Doctors advise Gorbachev against attending Thatcher's funeral

MOSCOW. April 11 (Interfax) - Former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev told Interfax he cannot attend the funeral of Margaret Thatcher, which will be held in London on April 17.

"I really can't go to the funeral. Honestly, I have postponed some other trips that I had planned earlier. But what can I do, these are doctors' recommendations. I am now undergoing certain procedures and I have to go to a medical establishment regularly," Gorbachev said.
