Kazakhstan reduces oil, condensate export 16.4% in January-February

ALMATY. April 12 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan exported 10.511 million tonnes of oil and gas condensate in the first two months of the year, 16.4% less than in the same period last year, the State Statistics Agency reported.

In monetary terms, the exports declined 16.7% year-on-year to $8.693 billion.

Exports of refined product declined 4.5% to 703,400 tonnes worth $416.1 million (2.5% less). Imports of product rose 14.7% to 450,600 tonnes worth $266.5 million (3.3% less).

Kazakhstan imported 0.972 bcm of natural gas in the two months (25.2% more) worth $91 million (68.1% more). Natural gas exports totaled 3.495 bcm (13.5% less) worth $386.8 million (2.4% more).

Kazakhstan produced 11.304 million tonnes of crude oil in the first two months of the year, 1.5% more year-on-year, and 2.145 million tonnes of condensate, 0.2% more. Gas production rose 3.5% to 7.076 bcm.
