19 persons hurt in road accident in Belgium remain in the hospital
VOLGOGRAD. April 16 (Interfax) - Eighteen persons hurt in a road accident near Antwerp, Belgium, are staying at a hospital in Volgograd, the regional emergency situations department told Interfax on Tuesday.
A girl born in 1995 who sustained the most severe injuries was hospitalized in Moscow.
It was reported earlier that an Ilyushin Il-76 plane of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry brought five patients and two passengers at 2:15 a.m. Moscow time on Tuesday to Volgograd. These passengers were not injured but wanted to accompany their family members.
The Russian Children's Clinical Hospital admitted the girl born in 1995 upon the arrival of the flight from Belgium to Moscow.
Two relatives of the girl accompanied her on the plane.
A Yakovlev Yak-42 of the ministry transported 29 tourists to Volgograd on Monday morning who were not seriously injured in the bus accident in Belgium. Fourteen of them were hospitalized after additional examination.
Hence, all the bus crash survivors returned to their home country.
A tourist bus carrying children from the Volgograd region to Paris had an accident near Antwerp at approximately 6:30 a.m. Moscow time on Sunday.
According to the latest update of the Russian Embassy in Brussels, the accident killed three citizens of Russia and two from Poland.
