Yanukovych to attend Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting
KYIV. April 17 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych is going to attend a planned meeting on May 28-29 of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the top executive body of the Common Economic Space of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC), a source in his office said.
"It is in the interests of Ukraine to boost economic cooperation with all international organizations, including the Customs Union," the source told Interfax. Ukraine wants "effective cooperation in business, creating jobs for Ukrainians, increasing the volume of trade between Ukraine and Customs Union states."
The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, which consists of the presidents and prime ministers of the Common Economic Space member states, will hold its end of May meeting in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
