Base of militants found in Karachayevo-Cherkessia
CHERKESSK. April 18 (Interfax) - A base of militants storing ammunition and personal belongings has been found in Karachayevo-Cherkessia, the republican Interior Ministry reported on Thursday.
"The base of a criminal group was found in the Mount Belaya stow near the Rimgorskoye village in the Malokarachayevsky district of Karachayevo-Cherkessia in the course of the investigation of a criminal case of two militants," the report said.
The police found ammunition, gun grease, camouflage uniforms and household items. All of that was taken to a forensic laboratory.
The republican Interior Ministry told Interfax that the group, which owned the discovered items, had three members. One militant, Dinislam Karakotorov, was killed at the beginning of this year while trying to open fire at the district police building. Another two militants, Denislam Semyonov and Osman Bachorov, were taken into custody.
