Action to support marijuana legalization planned in Tbilisi center
TBILISI. April 22 (Interfax) - Marijuana legalization campaigners plan to gather their supporters in the Georgian capital next Sunday.
"Our goal is to protect personal freedom, not to popularize marijuana. It may be undesirable to consume marijuana but it is impermissible for a civilized society to persecute a person for such reasons in the 21st century," the action organizers stated on the Facebook social network.
They called on supporters of marijuana legalization to come to the Georgian parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue on April 28.
Only a few activists took part in a similar action in Tbilisi several weeks ago.
