Ekibastuz GRES-2 to launch 500 mln tenge project for Unit 1 repairs
PAVLODAR. April 24 (Interfax) - JSC Ekibastuz GRES-2, a power plant in the Pavlodar region of northern Kazakhstan, will shut down Unit 1 for major repairs on April 29, the company told Interfax.
The company will spend about 500 million tenge on this project.
The Ekibastuz GRES-2 has installed capacity of 1000 MW (two 500-MW units).
The Ekibastuz GRES-2 is owned by Russian energy company Inter RAO UES and Kazakhstan's Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund on a parity basis.
The exchange rate on April 24 was 151.16 tenge/$1.
